With more than 25 years in Children’s Broadcasting, Kenny is known for founding and creating SiriusXM’s original, award-winning kids’ channel, known today as “Kids Place Live”. He continues to bring his trademark characterizations to a national audience as the host of the kids’ daily radio program, “The Animal Farm”.
During his 19 years at SiriusXM, Kenny was known as the company’s guru of Family Programming and specialty formats- developing and over-seeing audio programming for a variety of genres including Kids & Family, Original Talk, Broadway, movie soundtracks, audiobooks, radio drama, and uncensored comedy.
Prior to working at SiriusXM, Kenny was a popular local radio and television personality in the Baltimore-Washington metro area. In 1995, he partnered with Capital Kids Radio Company in Washington DC, delivering the world’s first radio programming exclusively for kids in a Top 10 market. The kids’ “RadioZone” received more than a dozen major broadcast awards, including the Achievement in Radio Award for “Best Morning Show” and the Gabriel Award for excellence in Radio.
Over the years, Kenny has worked with a diverse line-up of partners helping to create content for a wide variety of companies such as National Geographic, Parents Magazine,Sinclair Broadcast Group, The Muppets, Entertainment Weekly, The Wiggles, KidzBop, Publisher’s Weekly, Men’s Health Magazine, Verizon, Rural Media Group, and iHeartMedia, and Sesame Workshop.
